Drink up! Pharmacist introduces Fox News anchor to an invisible fiber.

invisible fiber

If you’re concerned about your health, you are probably aware of the benefits of powdered fiber supplements. Unfortunately, some people don’t use them because of their unpleasant consistency. Health author and holistic pharmacist Sherry Torkos told Minneapolis’ Fox News viewers to consider Sunfiber, the invisible fiber. The white powder dissolves crystal clear and doesn’t change the texture of food or beverages. As with the Minneapolis’ KMSP anchor, you won’t be able to tell it’s in there.

Fiber supplements offer many benefits, including weight management. “If you are looking for a great way to curb your appetite and keep the cravings at bay,” said Torkos, “think about adding Sunfiber to your diet.” This soluble fiber supplement helps provide a comfortable feeling of fullness, or satiety. Sunfiber can be mixed with water or any non-carbonated beverage. It can also be added to foods and can be used in cooking or baking.

Prior to the interview, Torkos stirred one scoop of Sunfiber into a glass of water. The powder dissolves readily and is invisible in water. “You can’t taste it. It’s amazing,” said Torkos. The anchor took a sip and agreed. “So many people will say to me, I don’t want a fiber supplement because they’re gritty and they have an aftertaste,” said Torkos. “This does not,” said the anchor. Sunfiber is available online at Tomorrow’s Nutrition. It’s also available as Super Fiber at GNC.

Torkos summed up Sunfiber’s benefits: “It’s tasteless, odorless and invisible. It helps to balance blood sugars, helps with cholesterol and weight management. So, if you’re thinking about slimming down for summer, add some of this fiber to your diet.”

The Institute of Medicine’s recommends adults consume 25 to 38 grams of fiber daily. Most Americans consume only 15 grams per day. Fiber is best known for supporting digestive health, but soluble fiber has additional health benefits. By slowing the rate of digestion, it delays emptying of the stomach making you feel fuller longer. This also moderates blood sugar levels and helps lower LDL ‘bad’ blood cholesterol.
